MPD asking for public help in identifying bank robbery suspect

WAILUKU – The Maui Police Department (MPD) is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in a bank robbery that occurred at approximately 1:17 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the First Hawaiian Bank on Main Street, in Wailuku, according to a press release.

The MPD is describing the suspect as, “local or Hispanic, about 6 feet, weighing about 200 pounds, with long black hair, a mustache, and a goatee.”

He was last seen wearing a dark ball cap and dark glasses, with a high visibility safety vest over a long-sleeved grey colored shirt and plaid printed pants, according to the MPD.

He was last seen heading westbound towards the new municipal parking structure.
