Tolutau on USA Rugby All-American team
Central Washington University sophomore-to-be Vili Tolutau, a Baldwin High School graduate, is one of 33 players selected by USA Rugby to play for its collegiate All-American team later this month.
The team will play Cambridge University in Hanover, N.H., on June 21, and in Canton, Mass., on June 25, and face the Ontario Blues in Canton on June 28.
The U.S. players were chosen after a camp that took place June 12-15 at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass.
"We are really pleased with the effort and focus of all the players competing in camp at Merrimack College," said the
team's coach, Matt Sherman. "While this is a relatively inexperienced team at the Collegiate All-American level, the players have shown a lot of ability and tenacity."
Tolutau's previous experience on national teams includes selections for April's Junior World Trophy in Hong Kong, and last year's junior world championships in France.
