Hawaii beats Riverside in finale 5-1

The University of Hawaii baseball team won its regular-season finale, 5-1 over UC Riverside on Saturday at Murakam Stadium.

Matt Cooper (6-5) allowed one run over 7 2/3 innings and Tyler Young drove in two runs for Hawaii (22-31, 6-18 Big West). Andrew Jones got the final out of the eighth and Eric Gleese pitched out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the ninth.

Ben Doucette (3-6) allowed three runs in 2 2/3 innings for Riverside (26-28, 12-12)
