Kickoff rally set for Kamaka

Republican state Senate candidate Joe Kamaka will hold a kickoff rally for his campaign from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Paukukalo Community Center, according to an announcement.

Kamaka, a Wailuku resident, is seeking the 5th District Senate seat held by Sen. Gil Keith-Agaran.

The fundraiser will include entertainment, food and door prizes. Donations will be welcomed.

May 29 fundraiser for Couch

Maui County Council Member Don Couch will hold a campaign fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. May 29 at the Maui Tropical Plantation.

Couch holds the South Maui residency seat on the Maui County Council and is seeking his third term in office.

Tickets cost $20. The event will feature a bento dinner, music by the Maui High School Band and door prizes.
