Rainbow Warriors lose 11-5 to Dirt Bags

The University of Hawaii baseball team lost for the 14th time in its last 15 Big West Conference games, falling 11-5 to Long Beach?State on Saturday at Murakami Stadium in Honolulu.

The Rainbow Warriors (19-27, 3-14) scored all of their runs in the sixth inning to get within four.

Kaeo Aliviado batted 3-for-4 and Adam Hurley and Austin Wobrock each drove in two runs for Hawaii. Scott Kuminski (4-6)?allowed five runs in four innings.

Colton Vaughn batted 4-for-5 with four RBIs, and Garrett Hampson and Ino Patron each had three hits for the Dirt Bags (25-23, 11-6), who finished with 20 hits. Josh Frye (6-0) allowed five runs in 5 2/3 innings and Ty Provencher pitched the final 3 1/3 innings for his third save of the season.
