Texas pastor to speak on Maui
Nationally known San Antonio pastor John Hagee and Alabama gospel singer and country music artist Karen Wheaton will take part in the King's Cathedral "Celebrate Conference" May 23 to 25, according to an announcement.
Hagee is founder and president of John Hagee Ministries, which telecasts his radio and television teachings nationally, according to his ministries' website. He is the founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio which reportedly has more than 20,000 active members.
The conference schedule is 7 p.m. May 23; 9 a.m. May 24; and 7 and 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. May 25. The events are free, except the session May 24. That event includes a meal and costs $19 for non-church attendees, $15 for King's Cathedral members and $5 for children.
King's Cathedral is at 777 Mokulele Highway in Kahului.
Pookela Church rummage sale set
Pookela Church will hold a rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Sale items will include household goods, arts and crafts supplies, clothing, baby items and furniture, linen, sports equipment, dishes, glassware and other items.
Proceeds will pay for the church's missionary work in Indonesia, Japan, the United States, New Guinea, the Netherlands, India and other countries.

Vacation Bible program in Lahaina
The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lahaina will host a free five-day vacation Bible program called "Weird Animals!" from June 9 through 13, according to an announcement.
Each day runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The program is open to keiki from 4 to 12 years old.
