Yuriko N. Horiuchi, 81, of Kailua Kona, Hawaii died April 21, 2014. She was born in Wailuku, Maui August 10, 1932.
Yuriko was a teacher and worked for the Hawaii School System until retirement, after which she enjoyed playing the ukulele and lauhala weaving.
She is survived by her son, Glen Horiuchi of Kailua Kona; daughters, Terri Horiuchi of San Francisco, California, Sheri Horiuchi of Redondo Beach, California, Dawna Gomes of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Myra Horiuchi of Seattle, Washington and Keni Horiuchi of Suisun City, California; brother Robert Nishikimoto of Honolulu, Hawaii; and four grandchildren.
The family has planned a celebration of life service, 2 to 5 pm on May 18th the Big Pavilion at the Old Kona Airport.
