"The hams are made from Berkshire heritage pork that's never been crossbred," says Maui Prime Store Manager Alex Stanislaw. "Low on salt with no preservatives, they are the way to step it up from your run-of-the-mill, spiral hams."
Maui Prime also features adult Easter basket items such as champagne, and goat and sheep's milk cheeses from Spain and the Basque country. Halibut and wild salmon season just opened, and the store's culinary team will fillet steaks to your order.

Speaking of party time, the Maui Film Festival at Wailea will add a new venue this year, when it screens cutting-edge films June 4 to 8. The new venue will be oceanfront at Grand Wailea. Its name is Maui Film Festival at Wailea's Seaside Cinema Music Cafe & Sunset Lounge. (Hmm. . . I used to think Humuhumunukunukuapua'a restaurant at the Grand was a mouthful.) But both are worth every last bite, when it comes to starry nights.
Apparently, Executive Chef Eric Faivre is designing fun dinner/show packages for Grand Wailea restaurants during the film fest, and you will get complimentary valet parking. No shuttles necessary, like at Celestial Cinema. And you may imbibe in wine, beer and cocktails.
