RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (AP) - Michelle Wie of Honolulu let a couple of late chances slip away in Thursday's first round of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, leaving her a shot behind Shanshan Feng.
Tied for the lead in the first LPGA major of the year after playing a four-hole stretch in 5 under in the afternoon, Wie lipped out a three-foot par putt on the par-3 17th at Mission Hills, then settled for par and a 5-under 67 after a wedge approach was long on the par-5 18th.
"I'll take a 67 here," Wie said.

Feng shot a 66 in the morning, with seven birdies and a bogey.
"This morning, it was playing easier because there was no wind," Feng said. "The pin positions weren't that hard. We actually had a lot of birdie chances."
Se Ri Pak also shot 67.
