Bernice Hyang Ja Sramek, 71 of Lahaina, passed away on March 26, 2014 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Grave side services will be held at Valley Isle Memorial Park, Haiku, Maui on Saturday April 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm.
Hyang Ja was born on February 17th, 1943 in Pusan, South Korea. She came to Kapiolani, Oahu, where she attended the Hawaii Mission Academy to take English classes. She and her husband Milos owned and operated Parasail Kaanapali in Lahaina, and Wailea Parasail in Kihei for 20+ years. She enjoyed good food, spending time with family, watching Korean dramas, and being incredibly loving and generous to anyone in need.
Hyang Ja is preceded in death by her husband Milos Sramek who passed away on October 20, 2013 in Maui.
Hyang Ja is survived in the States by her brothers Uo Rong (Ok Hui) Kim of Wahiawa, Oahu; Uo Duk (Yong Ja) Kim of Sunnyvale, CA; daughter Josephine Chong of Los Angeles; son Samuel (Janice) Park of Seattle, and four grandchildren Donna Chong, Bryce Chong, Nathan Park, and Jack Park.
