Wie trails by three shots at Kia Classic

CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) - Michelle Wie of Honolulu bogeyed two of her first three holes but rallied for a 2-under-par 70 on Thursday in the first round of the Kia Classic that left her three shots behind the co-leaders and tied for 12th place at Aviara Country Club.

Mariajo Uribe made four consecutive birdies during a bogey-free round of 67 and was tied with Paula Creamer atop the leaderboard.

Four players - Cristie Kerr, Shanshan Feng, Jodi Ewart Shaddoff and Mi Hyang Lee - were at 4 under.
