Lahainaluna seeking boys basketball coach
Lahainaluna is accepting applications for its boys basketball coach opening.

The deadline to apply is March 31.
Ashworth aces No. 3 at Elleair
Russ Ashworth of Canada recorded a hole-in-one at Elleair Maui Golf Club in Kihei on March 7.
Ashworth aced the third hole, using a 7-iron for the 140-yard shot, which was witnessed by Gary Salisbury, Roy St. Oenis and Dave Ashworth.
Trotto claims three masters national titles
Mary Trotto of Kihei won three gold medals in the women's 65 division at the USA Track and Field Masters Championships that took place March 14 to Sunday in Boston.
Trotto won the long jump with a distance of 2.98 meters, beating one other competitor. She was unopposed in two events - the 3,000 meters, in which she had a time of 19 minutes, 27.92 seconds, and the triple jump (4.77 meters).
Trotto was second out of two competitors in the pentathlon (1,451 points), 60 meters (12.32 seconds), high jump (0.90 meters) and pole vault (1.05 meters). She was third out of five in the shot put (6.27 meters), and third out of three in the 200 (45.31 seconds).
Paradise Speedway event slated for April 5
Stock car races are scheduled for April 5 at Paradise Speedway Maui in Puunene, starting at sundown.
Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Spectator admission will cost $12 for adults and $5 for youths 6-12, with no charge for anyone 5 and under.

Junior golf fundraiser tournament on April 26
The Maui Junior Golf Association's benefit tournament is scheduled for April 26 at King Kamehameha Golf Club in Waikapu, with a 7 a.m. shotgun start.
The entry fee for the two-person scramble is $125 per player, which also pays for greens fees, use of a cart, eligibility for prizes - including a car and a Las Vegas trip for hole-in-one contests - and a luncheon. The entry deadline is April 21. Registrants who sign up by April 1 will be eligible for an additional prize. Entry forms are available at mjga.net.

Soccer camps scheduled for June
Valley Isle Soccer Academy's College Prep and Youth Soccer Camps are scheduled for June 2-6 at Eddie Tam Memorial Park in Makawao.
Instruction will be offered from college and club coaches.
The fee is $250 until
April 15, and $300 after that date. Registration can be completed at valleyislesoccer.com.
Additionally, an informational meeting on playing in college is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. on June 1 at the multipurpose room at Baldwin High School in Wailuku.

Youth camps set for basketball, football
Seabury Hall will conduct youth basketball and football camps in June.
The basketball camp is scheduled for June 12-14, from 8 a.m. to noon for youths in 4th to 8th grade, and from 1 to 5 p.m. for youths in 9th to 12th grade. Instruction will be offered by George Tarkanian, the former coach at College of Southern Nevada, and Fresno (Calif.) City College coachEd Madac.
The football camp is scheduled for June 19-21, from 8 a.m. to noon for youths in 4th to 8th grade, and from 1 to 5 p.m. for youths in 9th to 12th grade. Instruction will be offered by Irv Pankey, a former NFL offensive lineman, and Curtis Allen, a former coordinator for the California state high school all-star game.
Costs for both camps are to be determined.
