Scott Kuzminsky pitched a two-hit shutout as the University of Hawaii baseball team defeated Nevada 1-0 on Mon-day at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu.

Kaeo Aliviado's groundout in the first inning brought in the game's lone run, and the Rainbow Warriors improved to 9-11 by earning a split of the four-game series.

Kuzminsky (2-2) faced the minimum 27 batters, striking out three and walking one.

Stephen Ventimilia led off the bottom of the first with a single, stole second base and advanced to third on a wild pitch before Aliviado grounded out to second base.

The Wolf Pack fell to 9-11.

Tyler Wells (0-3) pitched an eight-inning complete game.

Hawaii will begin a four-game series with Alabama-Birmingham at Murakami Stadium on Thursday.
