Rainbow Warriors lose second straight match with Trojans

The University of Hawaii men's volleyball team suffered its second straight loss to Southern California on Saturday, swept 25-22, 25-20, 25-18 in Los Angeles.

Sinisa Zarkovic had 11 kills for the Rainbow Warriors (9-6, 7-6 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation), No. 11 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association rankings. Taylor Averill added eight kills.

Hawaii had a .194 hitting percentage in the match, including minus-.030 in the third set.

Tanner Jansen had 13 kills for the eighth-ranked Trojans (9-5, 8-5), and Tommy Leonard had eight.

Hawaii is scheduled to play UCLA on Friday and March 1 at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
