Rainbow Warriors enter win column

The University of Hawaii baseball team earned its first win of the season on Thursday, beating Albany 5-2 in the opener of a four-game series at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu.

The Rainbow Warriors improved to 1-4. The Great Danes were playing their opener.

Matt Cooper (1-0) allowed two unearned runs in seven innings for the win. Austin Wobrock and Marcus Doi each went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored.

Relief pitcher Andrew Jaurique (0-1) was charged with three runs while getting just one out.
