UH men win third straight road game

Christian Standhardinger scored 27 points and Garrett Nevels added 20 as the University of Hawaii men's basketball team defeated UC Riverside 87-76 on Thursday in Riverside, Calif.

Nevels was 7-for-11 from the field, including 4-for-6 from 3-point range. Standhardinger had 13 rebounds.

Keith Shamburger and Brandon Spearman each scored 11 points for the Rainbow Warriors (17-7, 6-4 Big West), who won their third straight road game.

Chris Patton had 21 points for the Highlanders (8-16, 3-7), and Taylor Johns added 19.

Hawaii is to play at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday.
