The two Maui Interscholastic League teams in the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts Division I Boys Soccer State Championship remained undefeated and advanced to the semifinal round with victories Thursday at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu.
Kamehameha Schools Maui won 3-1 over fourth-seeded and previously unbeaten Kealakehe, and second-seeded Baldwin beat Kapolei 2-1 in a game decided by penalty kicks - the Bears made all five of their shots, while the Hurricanes converted three.
Seabury Hall lost to Mid-Pacific Institute on penalty kicks in a Division II quarterfinal game after the teams went scoreless in regulation and overtime.
Colton Cabanas scored in the 12th minute for the Warriors
(11-0-3) to tie the game, Chandler Alo added a goal in the 67th and Brennan Joaquin scored in the 74th.
"The boys kept on battling," said Kamehameha coach Kimo Correa.

Joshua Lopez scored in the eighth minute for the Waveriders (14-1-1).
Kamehameha will play today against top-seeded Iolani - the Warriors beat the Raiders on penal-ty kicks in last year's quarterfinals en route to a third-place finish.
Matthew Foronda scored in the 58th minute on Thursday for the Bears (11-0-2), who will play Punahou today.
C.J. Harvey had put the Hurricanes (13-4-0) in the lead with a goal in the 12th minute.
"We've been there before," said Baldwin coach Kane Palazzotto, whose team is playing in the state tournament for the fourth time in five years. "We're always just playing, trying to get that goal."
Seabury Hall (5-7-1), out-scored 5-4 in the shootout, will play Leilehua today in a fifth-place semifinal. Mid-Pacific improved to 5-4-0.
