Setsu Judy Suzuki, 84

Setsu Judy Suzuki 84, of Kahului passed away on January 17, 2014, at Hale Makua in Kahului. She was born on December 11, 1929 in Puunene , Maui. She grew up as Judy Setsu Anzai in McGerrow Camp.

Her Memorial Service was held at the Toho No Hikari Church in Kahului.

Judy retired from Maui Pineapple Co. working in the Warehouse Department. She enjoyed the fellowship of the members of Toho No Hikari, and giving Johrei. She also enjoyed oil and water painting, on occasions displaying her art at the County Building. "Back in da day" she made "some great" Cornbread and Pumpkin Shortbread.

She is survived by her children Brian Suzuki and Gwen Arisumi (Thomas Arisumi); grandchildren James "Kai" Suzuki (Tricia Nakamatsu); Shauna Abiva (Peterpaul Abiva); Kehani Suzuki (Joseph Rivera); TJ Arisumi (Hana Smookler); Cody Arisumi (Janine Arisumi); great grandchildren Mia Rivera, Jordan Rivera, and Jevin Arisumi.

She survived by her brothers Richard Masaru (Norma) Anzai and Wayne Pino (Nora) Anzai; sister-in-law Adeline (predeceased brother Jerry) Anzai; sister-in-law Doris (predeceased brother Masao Mac) Anzai; predeceased sister Terry and brother-in-law Butch Hotta.

The Family sends a special thanks to the staff of the Hale Makua East Wing and Lori Murakami from Toho No Hikari for being there for Mom.
