Pastor to discuss Bible and science
Senior Pastor Kirk Milhoan will present "Faith for Thinkers: Are Science and the Bible Compatible?" during Calvary Chapel South Maui services at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to an announcement.
The church group meets at the Maui Lu Resort at 575 S. Kihei Road.

Youth service set at Apostolic Faith
The Apostolic Faith Church (Jesus Coming Soon) will hold a youth service at 10 a.m. Sunday, according to an announcement.
The church's choir and orchestra will perform and special selections will be done by Sunday School children.
Annette Mamo Pagay of Waiehu will preach on "Preparing Our Mansion on High," and Kaleb Makimoto will be the announcer. He is a 7th-grader at Maui Waena Intermediate School and is the son of Alvin and Cindy Makimoto of Wailuku.
The church is at 1211 Front St., near Mala Wharf.
Classes offered at Wailuku church
The Transformation School of Ministry will hold a class on Old Testament prophecy and wisdom literature from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Wailuku Door of Faith Church.
Ryan Jackson of The Capitol Church in Raleigh, N.C., will teach the class.
The class costs $150 per quarter for degree students and $50 per quarter for audit students. (The first quarter began this month and continues in February and March.)
A communication principles class, taught by minister Duane White, will be held March 5, 6 and 8. Other classes are scheduled through the year.

Po 'okela Church sale Saturday
The Po'okela Church rummage sale is set for 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The church is located at 200 Olinda Road, above Makawao town.
