Sinisa Zarkovic had nine kills and Joby Ramos finished with 28 assists as the University of Hawaii men's volleyball team beat UC San Diego 25-15, 25-13, 25-21 on Friday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
The Rainbow Warriors, ranked 10th by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
Brook Sedore and Taylor Averill both had eight kills for Hawaii, which outhit UC San Diego .353 to .067 in the 89-minute match. The Rainbow Warriors had 10 blocks and five aces.
Nick Iorfino finished with eight kills and Mike Brunsting had 15 assists for the Tritons (0-6, 0-5).
The teams will meet again Sunday.
