The University of Hawaii men's basketball team won for the eighth time in nine games on Monday, defeating Norfolk State 77-66 at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
Christian Standhardinger had 29 points and eight rebounds for the Rainbow Warriors (10-3). Garrett Nevels scored 21 points, going 4-for-5 from 3-point range. Nevels also had eight rebounds for UH, which has won all three of its meetings with Norfolk State.
Malcolm Hawkins and Pendarvis Williams each scored 16 points for the Spartans (8-6).
Hawaii will host Omaha on Friday before beginning Big West play with a road game against Cal Poly on Monday.
