Tuesday-Tickets for the PGA Tour's Hyundai Tournament of Champions can be purchased at a discounted price until Tuesday at pgatour.com/hyundai or via Ticketmaster. Two "good any day" tickets will cost $20, and two weekly tickets will cost $45. Youths 18 and younger will get free admission with a ticketed adult, and admission is also free to all active, reserve and retiree military and their dependents with a valid Department of Defense-issued identification.
Jan. 2-6-The PGA Tour's Hyundai Tournament of Champions is seeking volunteer workers for the Jan. 2 pro-am and for official play Jan. 3-6 at the Kapalua Plantation Course. Dec. 31-The New Year's Resolution Run is scheduled for 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 31, with a course of slightly less than two miles, beginning and ending at Paradise Grill in Kaanapali. Jan. 4-The second annual Hyundai Hope On Wheels 5K will take place in Kaanapali on Jan. 4. The entry fee is $30 for the event and $15 for the Kids Sprint (ages 3-12). The races will start at 7:45 a.m. Online registration closes on Dec. 31. The fee is $35 if registering on race day. Participants in the 5K will receive two any-day tickets for the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, which will take place Jan. 3-6 at the Kapalua Plantation Course. There will be a post-race festival that will include food and refreshments, live entertainment, vendor booths, giveaways, as well as games, arts and crafts, and face painting for children. Feb. 1-The Pacific Whale Foundation's Run and Walk for the Whales is scheduled for Feb. 1, starting and ending at the Maalaea Harbor Shops. The half-marathon will begin at 6:15 a.m., the 10-kilometer run at 6:45 a.m., the 5K at 7 a.m. and the 2.5-mile walk at 7:05 a.m. The entry fees are $45 before Jan. 1, $55 from Jan. 1 to Jan. 29 and $70 on Jan. 30 or Feb. 1 for the half-marathon; $40 before Jan. 1, $45 from Jan. 1 to Jan. 29 and $55 on Jan. 30 or Feb. 1 for the 10K; $35 before Jan. 1, $40 from Jan. 1 to Jan. 29 and $50 on Jan. 30 or Feb. 1 for the 5K; and $20 before Jan. 1, $25 from Jan. 1 to Jan. 29 and $30 on Jan. 30 or Feb. 1 for the walk.
