James Eugene Hartzell, a true gentleman, age 74, of Haiku, passed away at home on December 4, 2013. He was born on January 27, 1939 in Modesto, California.
All are welcome to join Jim's friends and family for a Celebration of Life at 12 noon, Saturday, December 14, 2013, top of pasture above the lavender farm on Waipoli Road in Kula.
He was a retired Chef with Polli's Restaurant.
He is survived by his sister, Jackie Hartzell-Heinrich of Manhattan, Montana; brother, Garry L. (Kathy) Hartzell of Anacortes, Washington; nieces, Karen Heinrich of Montana and Kendra Hartzell of Washington; nephews, Mike Heinrich of Wyoming, Randy Heinrich of Montana, Mike Hartzell of Washington, Brad Hartzell of Washington.; great-nieces and great-nephews who all loved Uncle Jim.
He was a member of the radio control flying community and the late Upcountry Ringers Horseshoe Club. His ultimate love was riding his Harley around Maui.
All donations will be acknowledged and given to the Hartzell Ohana.
He lived his life as a great gentleman and will be truly missed by everyone that knew him.
