Kekaulike Matsuri

The Kekaulike Matsuri (Japanese festival) was held Nov. 16 after a free movie showing of “Go for Broke! Memories of Hawai’i Japanese Nisei” at King Kekaulike High School. The event was organized by Maile Naito as her senior project. Entertainment included Zenshin Daiko, a bon dance led by Maui Taiko, Zumba by Jadine of Kahului YMCA and King Kekaulike student performers. The yagura tower was built by John MacDoughall and Mei Chan of Pukalani.
