I would like to thank Matthew Thayer for heading up the Very Important Players AYSO Soccer. This is the second year that VIP soccer has been offered on Maui. My daughter Jewel has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. She has enjoyed being a part of a team.
Andrea and Matthew Thayer have provided a quality soccer experience for all the children. The "volunTeens" and volunteers were outstanding, with their joy, patience and commitment toward each player.
This program has enriched Jewel's life, and she has grown from this experience. We are grateful for this program and all the efforts that go into it. We hope we are able to have this program again next year.

The Maui High Centennial Committee would like to thank all alumni, students, school staff and community members who participated in this year's centennial events. We are grateful and humbled by the generosity of the many individuals and businesses who sponsored Maui High's 100-year celebration and for the coverage by The Maui News.
The centennial generated excitement of the school's rich history from Hamakuapoko to Kahului, the outstanding accomplishments of its alumni, the academic achievements of its students and the recognition that Maui High has earned in the community.
All communities have their past, present and future determined and shaped by the amount of support given to their schools. Please continued to support and appreciate the efforts of all our schools in Maui County. Maui High School serves as a great example of what a school can give back to its community, state, nation and the world when it receives unconditional support.

Hale Makua Health Services would like to thank the community for making our 25th annual Kokua for Kupuna fundraising event such a success. We raised a record high of $97,000. Funds raised will help continue our 66-year legacy of providing care and a home for those in our Maui community who need us the most, and will provide financial assistance to individuals who are unable to afford the cost of care.
Thank you to the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for providing a beautiful beachfront location and exceptional service, and to Tihati Productions for amazing music and dance performances. Thanks also go to Mitch Mitchell and Chino LaForge for returning as emcees.
This event would not be possible without the local and national companies that act as sponsors.
