Shriners slated to host outpatient clinic
Shriners Hospitals for Children-Honolulu will be holding an outpatient clinic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 20-22 at the Masonic Temple-Lodge Maui in Kahului.
The hospital's orthopedic doctors specialize in treating children for bone, joint and muscle conditions. The doctors will be seeing both established and new patients.
All insurance is accepted. Patients with no insurance are accepted as well.

Holidays topic of meeting for diabetics
"Tips for the Holidays" will be the topic of Wednesday's Diabetes Education Support Group meeting at Maui Memorial Medical Center.
The meeting will be led by Marny Moriyasu, a registered nurse and certified diabetes educator.
It will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Marion Hanlon Room in the Kahului Tower.
The Diabetes Support Group meets on the second Wednesday of the month and is geared for diabetic patients and their families. The meetings are free and open to the public.

High surf expected for Maui and Molokai
A high-surf advisory was issued Saturday afternoon, warning beachgoers that 10- to 15-foot surf would hit Maui and Molokai's north-facing shores today while somewhat smaller waves would roll into east-facing shorelines.
The high surf from the north-northeast was expected to peak today, with advisory-level waves remaining until 6 a.m. Monday. Rip currents and beach erosion also were forecast.
