Grand Wailea's rooftop apiary with 10 beehives, has been buzzing with sweet nectar since it was set up in 2009.
This year, its sister property, the Waldorf Astoria New York, also started its own rooftop apiary. That's when a friendly banter between the resorts started on whose honey is best.
This was eventually settled during National Honey Month with the Waldorf Battle of the Bees media event in New York.
