"You know we are here with the best people in the world at the best beach in the world and Hookipa went off today," Siver said. "I just tried to give it my best and try not to think too much when I was out there." Kahului's Bernd Roediger (13.73) was third - "It feels super good to be in the final," he said - and Morgan Noireaux of Haiku was fourth with a 12.70. Siver will try to protect his lead in the next elimination - competition will resume today at 10:30 a.m., if conditions permit.
