HONOLULU - The University of Hawaii football team will face Ohio State for the first time on Sept. 12, 2015, in Columbus, Ohio, the schools announced Thursday.
Ohio Stadium, which seats 102,329, will be the largest arena in which a UH team has played.
The Rainbow Warriors have two road games against Big Ten teams scheduled for 2015 - they are to play at Wisconsin on Sept. 26 of that year.
Also on Thursday, ESPN Regional Television announced that the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl and the American Athletic Conference have signed a contract for the conference to participate in the game three times over the next six years. The American Athletic Conference will send a team in 2015, 2017 and 2019. The game will have a Conference USA representative this year, as well as in 2016 and 2018.
This year's Hawaii Bowl will be played on Dec. 24 at Aloha Stadium, and will also have a team from the Mountain West Conference.
