Lourdes "Auntie Pearl" Pitoy Antone Brown, 88, formerly of Nikiski, Alaska, died Sept. 6, 2013 in Hilo, Hawaii.

Memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo with a fellowship luncheon to follow. Family requests purple color-themed casual attire and in lieu of flowers, please plant a tree; thank you.

Dodo Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.

Auntie Pearl was born on April 10, 1925, in Hilo, Hawaii.

She retired as an Executive Chef and Manager of Sheffield Hotel Steak & Seafood Restaurant in Kenai, Alaska.

She was predeceased by Ronald Bruce Brown and Solomon Haumea Antone.

She is survived by son, Desmon Antone (Stacy) Haumea of Hilo; daughter, Karla Leina'ala (Wallace) Jennings of Molokai; sister, Rose Palisbo of Paauilo; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
