Of the 200 people in attendance at the event, 40 residents signed up for EV memberships, which includes access to the DC fast chargers at five locations on Maui - Pi'ilani Village Shopping Center, Queen Ka'ahumanu Center, Maui Tropical Plantation, Ma'alaea Triangle and Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. As part of JUMPSmartMaui's EV pilot membership program, those who signed up have access to the charging stations and can charge their vehicles for free through Nov. 30. Nissan LEAF vehicle owners on Maui are eligible to become JUMPSmartMaui EV members.
