A meeting to re-establish the Pukalani Community Association will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Hannibal Tavares Community Center downstairs meeting room.

Fix-a-cat clinics on Sundays this month
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Maui is hosting spay/neuter clinics on Sundays this month.
All cats are welcome - companion, community or feral. Humane traps are available to lend.
The cost is what people can afford to pay, if anything, SPCA Maui said.

University women announce meeting
Women interested in joining the American Association of University Women are invited to attend the annual membership meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Maui Kamaole Condo pavilion in Kihei.
AAUW provides fellowships to women to help them achieve their personal and professional goals. Year-round activities include an annual whale-watch fundraiser, monthly lunches featuring guest speakers, and special interest groups, including books, handicraft, walking and current affairs.
Anyone who holds an associate degree or a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university may become a member.

Library will host look through telescope
Kahului Public Library will be hosting a "Night with the Stars" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
J.D. Armstrong from the Institute for Astronomy will set up a connection to the Faulkes Telescope atop Haleakala. He will describe the heavenly sights in the September sky (weather permitting) and allow participants to control where the telescope looks.

Social Media Bootcamp set for Saturday
High Tech Maui's Social Media Bootcamp - led by consultant Peter Liu of Kaiscapes, LLC - will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Maui Economic Development Board's Malcolm Center in Kihei.
The workshop is designed for people new to social media or starting to think about an overall social media strategy for their business.

Keiki Story/Tune Time returns to Savers
Joanne Laird, program director for the Read Aloud America program, will present a Keiki Story/Tune Time at Savers, 380 Dairy Road, in Kahului at 10 a.m. Saturday.
This 40-minute program is geared for children ages pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade. The story time will feature readings from some of the most popular children's picture books used at Read Aloud America programs.
Each child will be able to select a gently used book from the Savers library to take home. Two lucky children will receive special prizes in a grand prize drawing at the conclusion of the program courtesy of Read Aloud America.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Kahului School announces meeting

Charter school plans information night
Information Night for Kihei Charter School K-8 Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Blended Academy will be at 5 p.m. Monday at the Lipoa Campus.
The STEM Blended Academy combines online learning with regular classes. Teachers and staff will be on hand to answer questions about this option for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.
