Isaac "Ike" Nakooka Sr., 76, of Lahaina, passed away on September 4, 2013 at his residence. He was born on February 9, 1937 in Kona.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Ballard Family Mortuary, memorial services will begin at 7 p.m.; scattering of his ashes at sea will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at S Turn Park in Lahaina. Family request casual attire.
Isaac was a member of the AFLCIO Local 3 Union with 45 years of service as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
He is survived by his Best Friend, Marge Strong; son, Isaac (Teresa) Nakooka Jr.; daughters, Noelani (Dan) Bailey, Maile Consulation; brother, Moses Takaki; sisters, Janet Quihano, Lana Quedding; grandchildren, Sierra, Brooke, Alena, Kersey, Alex, Andy, Robert, Raven, Skyler, and Tei Tei; 11 hanai-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Isaac was predeceased by his son, Keola Nakooka.
