HPD officer injured while breaking up fight

HONOLULU (AP) - A Honolulu police officer has been injured while trying to break up a fight in Kalihi where two men were stabbed.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported that the 51-year-old officer was struck in the head with an unknown object Saturday night.

Emergency Medical Services said that he was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Police said that the officer was trying to disperse a crowd of about 50 people.

EMS said that the two men who were stabbed were in stable condition. Police were searching for suspects who assaulted the officer and stabbed the men.
