A very special mahalo to Boys and Girls Club Upcountry Unit Director Lisa Rodrigues. Lisa created a very special club where our children were inspired to achieve greatness while being compassionate community members. As she moves on to her next life chapter at the end of this month, we wish her great success and happiness.

Kihei Youth Center would like to thank the Maui Food Bank and Kihei Lutheran Church for being instrumental in our meal program (it would not be able to exist if it weren't for them). We are able to offer a free breakfast, a free lunch and a free snack per day for all youth members. In addition, we are able to provide weekly "meal boxes" for our families. Since the beginning of this summer, we have already provided more than 1,000 meals (prepared by the Kihei Youth Center staff.)
We'd also like to give a hardy shout-out to Ruby's Diner for providing the ono chicken fingers and coleslaw for our last day of school lunch celebration that awaited the children as they got off the bus it was enjoyed by all.
We'd like to encourage our community to consider donating financially and/or provide paper goods and other needed products to keep our meal program going strong so that no keiki ever goes hungry - not even for a day.
