St. Joseph Church to hold Mass Sunday
Mass will be celebrated beginning at noon Sunday at St. Joseph Church in Kaupo, according to an announcement.
Fellowship and potluck will follow services.
The remote mission church has Mass only when there is a fifth Sunday of the month, or four times a year.
The church is between Mileposts 33 and 34 on Piilani Highway.

Obon service, dance in Wailuku tonight
Wailuku Jodo Mission will observe its obon tonight.
The obon service is held in honor of hatsubon (first obon) members, and all departed souls will commence from 7 p.m. in the temple. The Rev. Shinri Hara, a graduate of the Institute of Buddhist Studies in Berkeley, Calif., will deliver the dharma talk.
Following the service, the newly constructed obon dance yagura (tall music stage) will be blessed by resident minister the Rev. John Cho'on Hara before the dance begins. The drum group Maui Taiko will accompany the bon dance songs.
Food concessions include chow fun, shave ice and hot dogs. Walter Yoshida, president of Wailuku Jodo Mission, and members have invited everyone to join in the festivities.
The temple is at 67 Central Ave., off Main Street in Wailuku.
Missions Conference begins July 6
Grace Church will host Terry Wong, senior pastor of Calvary Assembly of God in Honolulu, as a keynote speaker for a Missions Conference next month at the church in Pukalani.
The conference will be held at 6:30 p.m. July 6 and at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. July 7.

Wong, the author of "Missions Power," is a "sought-after international speaker," according to an announcement. "He is extremely passionate about missions."
Under his leadership, his church in Honolulu "has been transformed from being inward and self-oriented to being outward and missions-oriented church," the announcement said.
The church's missions giving has resulted in it consistently being in the top five in donations per capita among all U.S. Assemblies of God churches.
The church is at 55 Makaena Road, across the street from King Kekaulike High School.
