The new Rita's is sizzling in the old Lulu's location in the tree tops at Kihei Kalama Village with lunch and dinner and weekend brunches. You'll find new floors, thatched-roof ceilings, a refinished bar and fun murals along with prime steaks, lots of lobster and more.
Managing partner Steve Warsh was a pool and landscape contractor in Las Vegas, and he also ran about 10 restaurants prior to that. We loved the lobster bisque, thickly-cut prime rib, and shrimp in shell with remoulade.
"We fly in live lobsters from Portland, Maine; cut our own prime meats; make our own mayonnaise and dressings, and toss salads tableside," says Warsh. "We also have our liquor license."
