"Top Chef" finalist Sheldon Simeon will appear as a guest chef at Pacific'O on Front Street in Lahaina on Saturday, June 29.
"Sheldon will be introducing our new Executive Chef, Anton Haines, who worked with him as part of Hoaloha restaurant group that includes Star Noodle," says Pacific'O partner Stephan Bel Robert. "The event will start on the beach at 7 p.m. with pupu, then a multi-course, sit-down dinner with paired wines will follow."
To give guests a taste of what's happening in the kitchen, live video coverage of the chefs in action will be screened to diners, who will be enjoying the dinner outdoors on the lawn.
Chefs Sheldon Simeon and Anton Haines will team for a Pacific’O dinner June 29. They are pictured at the Maui Executive Catering chef’s table dinner on Monday night.

"Here's what you can look forward to at the event," says Haines. "We'll be doing lamb tartare with pickled peaches, parsley puree, shallots, chives and white truffle custard."
"We'll also do roasted hearts of palm and serve it with tomato soup, shiitake miso gel, katsouobushi (dried, fermented, and smoked skipjack tuna) with raw hearts of palm; another course will be short ribs with rutabaga, garlic chives and roasted Ali'i mushrooms," continues Haines.
For dessert, the team will make lychee napoleon with Maui lychee, Meyer lemon mascarpone, vanilla sable, candied lemon curl and almond dust, as guests watch them in action.
The cost is $165 person or $200 including tax and gratuity. Simeon is also a guest chef at the Vintage Cave on Oahu this week, and all eight of his dinners have sold out a much higher price.
"We are also working on our 20th anniversary," says Bel Robert. "For the first night July 19th, we'll do a multi-course dinner on the beach. The second night, July 20th, will be a big cocktail party with food stations and live jazz under the stars."
