Daly, Devault part of Hawaii surfing team
Kain Daly of Kuau and Imaikalani Devault of Maka-wao are part of the Hawaii team that will compete in the International Surfing Association's world junior championships, scheduled for Saturday through June 16 at Nica-ragua's Jiquiliste Beach.
Daly is competing for the fourth time - he helped Hawaii win the gold medal last year in Panama. Devault is on the team for the first time.

Brown records ace on Elleair's seventh hole
Margaret Brown of Wailea recorded a hole-in-one Friday at Elleair Golf Club in Kihei.
Brown aced the seventh hole, using a 7 hybrid for the 116-yard shot, which was witnessed by Max Brown.
Trotto competes in USATF event
Mary Trotto of Kihei competed in USA Track and Field's Eastern Regional Combined Event Championships May 25-26 at Overpeck and Li-onia Parks in Palisades Park, N.J.
As the lone competitor in the 65-69 age division in a modified pentathlon, Trotto threw the javelin 17.95 meters and the shot put 6.5 meters, cleared 0.90 meters in the high jump, had a long jump of 2.25 meters and posted times of 22.23 seconds in the 100 meters and 4:34.50 in the 800. Her points were not officially recorded.
Motocross racing slated for Saturday
Motocross racing is scheduled for Saturday at the Maui Motocross Association dirt track at Maui Motorsports Park in Puunene, with youth races beginning at 9 a.m. and adult races starting at noon.
Spectator admission is $8 for adults and $5 for youths.

King Kekaulike to have cross country meeting
A meeting for King Ke-kaulike High School students interested in joining the cross country team is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on June 15 at the school's stadium in Pukalani.

Maui Sports Academy to conduct Oahu camp
Maui Sports Academy's Hawaii High School Basketball Exposure Camp is scheduled for June 19-23 at Kalani High School on Oahu.
The camp is for boys varsity players. The fee is $375, and financial assistance is available. Campers will receive a jersey, T-shirt, shorts and basketball, and admission for the Iolani Summer League.

Plantation Era sports artifacts sought
The Lahaina Restoration Foundation is seeking artifacts and memorabilia for its fifth annual Lahaina Plantation Days event with the theme of "West Maui Athletics of the Plantation Era."
Photographs, articles, uniforms, equipment and trophies are among the items that will be accepted.
Contributions will be handled with care, and returned following the event, scheduled for Oct. 18-19 beneath the Pioneer Mill smokestack, according to the foundation.
