On behalf of the Seabury Hall Track Team, I would like to once again thank Kamehameha Schools Maui for letting us train on their track.
LeAnn Delima, Blane Gaison and Carl Alexander are wonderful examples of quality leadership. Their kindness and willingness to support our athletes is much appreciated.

On behalf of our board members, staff and clients I would like to sincerely thank Nancy Cross and her staff from the Hyundai Tournament of Champions for the recent donation made to Ka Lima O Maui.
This past tournament will go down in history in terms of memory for us, and I'm sure for all involved as well. The challenging conditions only demonstrated the strength of Nancy and her staff in the face of adversity. Year after year, they work hard to ensure a successful tournament so that organizations like Ka Lima O Maui can benefit.
The donation received helps us deliver much-needed employment services for adults with disabilities. We strongly believe that putting paychecks in deserving hands provides dignity, self-respect and independence to a population oftentimes overlooked.
We look forward to being a partner again for the 2014 tournament.
Chantal Ratte, executive director

The Constitution Is Alive, a community service group, sends a big mahalo to some of the greatest small businesses anywhere.
Since Feb. 1 - about 100 days - more than 100 Maui businesses, mostly in Kihei and Kahului, are now offering free Constitutions of the United States to their customers, resulting in more than 3,500 Constitutions in circulation!
With too many to list here, we are proud and pleased that today the Constitution can be found in nail salons, ice cream shops, doctor's offices, coffee shops, churches . . .
The Constitution Is Alive aims to create a constitutional culture - activating and empowering individuals by providing information, education and tools that re-connect us with the heritage of our country, and the responsibilities of citizenship.
With more small businesses being added every day, the Constitution Is Alive believes that by the end of this year, every person on Maui can have (and read!) a copy of the Constitution.
If you would like to learn more about the Constitution, or if you would like to provide free Constitutions to your customers, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or find us on Facebook: "the Constitution Is Alive."

On May 6, I took my class on a field trip to the Pacific Whale Foundation and the Maui Ocean Center. What was so unique about this trip is that my students consist of five severely impaired boys. We were greeted as soon as we arrived at the Discovery Center by Karen Molina. After collaborating with me about my students and their needs ahead of time, she presented them with a class called Sensations of the Sea. The class was fantastic, as was her attitude toward each individual. We then went to the Maui Ocean Center for lunch and a tour. We were greeted with a table ready for lunch out of the rain. We were given top-notch service by the server in the Seascape restaurant as well as outstanding customer service by the manager. Of course, my students loved their tour of the Ocean Center. Who wouldn't? I would like to say thank you on behalf of my students for the wonderful experience.
