Workshop to examine product marketing
Luana Mahi of the Maui Food Technology Center will present "Overcoming Pitfalls When Taking Your Product to Market" at noon Friday at the Maui County Business Resource Center at Maui Mall.
The workshop will focus on the many aspects involved in successfully taking your finished product to market.

Spay/neuter clinic for cats on Sunday
The Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Maui will hold spay/neuter clinics for cats Sunday and June 9 in West Maui and June 16 and 23 in Wailuku.
Domestic and feral cats will be accepted, and clients are asked to "pay what they can" said clinic coordinator and SPCA Maui President Sue Liscombe.
SPCA Maui is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to a no-more-homeless-pets Maui and the ending of killing as means of companion animal population control.

Rotary club announces breakfast meeting
The Rotary Club of Kihei Sunrise will hold a breakfast meeting 7:30 a.m. June 5 at the Five Palms restaurant at the Mana Kai Maui Resort.
During the Club Assembly meeting, members and guests will hear from the three action teams that were formed in March. The teams will report on their plans for member recruitment and retention, fundraising and managing/improving club organization and calendar.
There will also be a celebration for the awards won by the club during the District 5000 Conference, which was held recently on Oahu.
The public is welcome to attend. The cost of breakfast is $22.

Free piano recital in Kula on Saturday
Kathleen Hamilton's piano students will perform a variety of compositions during a free recital at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Waipuna Chapel in Kula, near the intersection of Kula Highway and Omaopio Road.

Julie Corrine Audino, a motivational speaker, inspiration writer and fitness professional will speak at the Rotary Club of Lahaina's lunch meeting at noon Thursday.

Library to purge inactive accounts
The Hawaii State Public Library System's patron database will undergo a purge of inactive accounts Monday.
The purge will provide an updated and more accurate database for the library system's business and management uses, according to a news release.
Inactive accounts are accounts with expired library cards and:
No borrowed material in the last five years
No outstanding items, charges or fees
Cardholders who have relocated from Hawaii
Patrons who discover that their records have been purged can reactivate their cards, free of charge, by completing new library card application forms and presenting them with their cards and valid identification.
