Rainbows’ winning streak ends at four

The University of Hawaii baseball team lost 7-2 to UC Riverside on Friday in Riverside, Calif., in the penultimate game of the season for both teams.

Conner George and Austin Wobrock each had two hits for the Rainbows (16-34, 11-15 Big West), who had won a season-best four games in a row.

Francisco Tellez went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, drove in three runs and scored twice for the Highlanders (13-32, 9-18).

Ben Doucette (3-7) earned the win with a complete game.

Corey MacDonald (7-6) permitted six runs in 5 1/3 innings.
