Corey MacDonald pitched seven solid innings and Piikea Kitamura and Marc Flores homered as the University of Hawaii baseball team held off Pacific 4-3 on Saturday at Stockton, Calif.
Flores hit his second homer of the season in the second inning and Kitamura belted his first leading off the fifth. The Rainbows (11-29, 6-11 Big West) now have four home runs this year.
MacDonald (5-5) allowed seven hits with one walk and one strikeout. Scott Kazminksy worked a scoreless eighth and Lawrence Chew pitched a perfect ninth for his first save of the season.
Austin Wobrock and Kalei Hanawahine also drove in runs for Hawaii.
The Tigers (10-31, 3-14) scored all of their runs in the seventh inning.
Jake Jenkins (0-7) allowed three runs in 3 2/3 innings.
Hawaii will go for its first sweep of the season today. The Rainbows beat the Tigers 5-2 on Friday.
