Rainbow baseball drops seventh consecutive contest

The University of Hawaii baseball team lost for the seventh straight time, 3-2 to Cal Poly in a Big West Conference game on Saturday in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Austin Wobrock had two of Hawaii's five hits against Mustangs' starter Matt Imhof (4-1), who allowed two unearned runs.

The Rainbows' Matt Cooper (2-4) allowed two earned runs in going the distance with seven strikeouts and one walk.

Hawaii fell to 7-24 overall and 2-6 in Big West play. Cal Poly is 24-8 and 6-2.

The three-game series concludes today.

The Rainbows, who are 0-8 on the road, have scored just 26 runs in 11 games away from Les Murakami Stadium this season, including just eight runs in their last six games away from home.
