Waves draw in surfers

April 2, 2013
The Maui News
Dozens of surfers, bodyboarders and paddleboarders enjoyed the swells on Monday afternoon at Kahului Harbor. The National Weather Service continued a high-surf advisory for the north-facing shores of Maui and Molokai until 6 a.m. today. A high-wind advisory was posted for Haleakala, above 6,000 feet, also until 6 a.m. Forecasters predict partly and mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers today, mostly in windward areas. High temperatures are expected to range from 73 to 78 degrees, overnight lows of 61 to 66. Winds should blow out of the north to northeast from 10 to 20 mph. Partly cloudy skies and isolated showers should prevail through Saturday.
