Bears girls beat Lunas for 50th straight MIL victory

The Baldwin High School girls golf team took a two-game lead in the Maui Interscholastic League standings with a 110-149 win over Lahainaluna on Thursday at Kahili Golf Course.

The Bears, who have won 50 straight MIL matches, had three players under 40 - Marissa Uradomo at 36, and Kristin Ishikawa and Kimberlie Miyamoto each at 37.

Lydia Higa fired a non-scoring 41 for the Bears (8-0).

Caylyn Villatora had a 42, while Caitlyn Villatora shot 47 for the Lunas (6-2). Bailey Pendergast had a 60, and Ennah Cabading shot a non-scoring 64.

* KAMEHAMEHA MAUI GIRLS 137, SEABURY HALL 159 : At The Dunes at Maui Lani, Nicole Nagamine carded a 42 for the Warriors (2-6).

Kodi Joyo had a 46, Shaina Hipolito shot a 49 and Kalena Tamashiro carded a non-scoring 62.

Kristeena Locke had a 42, and Taylor Akamine added a 47. Anna Apana had a nonscoring 49.
