Student help

March 20, 2013
The Maui News
Leah VanSomeren, one of 12 Regis University Collegiate Challenge students, vacuums a room in Harbor Lights earlier this month. The students volunteered at Habitat for Humanity for five days and helped renovate three apartment units at Harbor Lights and worked at the ReStore. The Collegiate Challenge program engages youth ages 5 to 25 to learn about communities and their needs. These volunteers raised money for air and ground transportation, meals and extracurricular activities. Lodging was provided by Iao United Church of Christ.
