Zaul Manuel Acevedo-Gonzalez, 40, of Wailuku passed on March 13, 2013 in Wailuku. He was born December 6, 1972 in Puerto Rico.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at BALLARD FAMILY MORTUARY, with visitation from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Services will continue on Friday, March 22 at the mortuary from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by burial at 12:00 pm at Maui Veteran's Cemetery in Makawao. Borthwick Norman's Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
He served as an EOD technician with the 10th Mountain Division in the US Army and was an Explosive Specialist with TSA at the Kahului Airport.
He is survived by his wife, Kat DeGuzman-Acevedo; son, Angel Acevedo; daughter, Nancie Acevedo; mother, Carmen Gonzalez; brother, Rey (Janny) Cotto, nieces, Marie and Jayleen; father and mother in-law, Angel & Pancing DeGuzman, brother-in-law, Mark (Mary) DeGuzman , nephew, Mason ; numerous aunties, uncles and cousins all of Puerto Rico, Florida and Texas; and his companions, Scrappy and Koa.
Vedo was extremely loved amongst all his family and friends. He touched the lives of many and left behind inspiration instilled within them. He was a loving friend, brother, son, husband and father. Everyone that met him, liked himeveryone who knew him, Loved him.
