MIL baseball: Seabury powers past St. Anthony in opener

Cayde Omura and Tyler Gentile hit back-to-back home runs in the first inning for Seabury Hall in a 15-7 win over St. Anthony at Eddie Tam Field in Makawao on Friday, the opening day of the Maui Interscholastic League Division II baseball season.

Omura, the second batter of the season for the Spartans, hit a two-run homer before Gentile added his drive. Seabury's Kaleb Palmer doubled twice.

* MOLOKAI 12, LANAI 1, 5 INNINGS: At Kaunakakai, Codi Kamakana drove in four runs for Molokai and David Rapanot had three RBIs.

Kamakana, Rapanot, Brayden Willing-Mccutcheon and Trevor Takata each had two hits. Winning pitcher Nohi Meyer struck out nine batters.

* MAUI HIGH 7, KING KEKAULIKE 2: At Wailuku, Chaz Ishikawa was 3-for-4 and drove in a run for Maui High (1-1).

The Sabers' Jacob Tiu and C.J. Molina combined on a three-hitter.
