Personal record jump a long one

March 13, 2013
The Maui News
Kalama Intermediate School 8th-grader Bailey Wellbeloved, 14, looks for a new personal record in the long jump as Paia Youth & Cultural Center volunteer Jayden Villiarimo (left), 17, and Drop In Program Specialist Brandon LaRue look on Tuesday in Paia. LaRue said that the long jump is part of the Fitness Challenge held every Tuesday at the center. The kids’ best marks in events like pull-ups, sit-ups, push-ups and sprints are recorded and used as a tool for them to measure their progress. To check on the center’s programs and schedule, visit its website pyccmaui.org.
